Happy Veteran's Day to all of my family veterans. And I have many:Both grandfathers, one Army and one Navy.
1,2...Two uncles (Navy and Army) and one..no two aunts (Army and Navy).
Two cousins. Both Army. One finished her last tour a few months back...the other is due to go back to Iraq for the 100th (it seems) time...sigh. Stay safe, Sarge.
On my husband's side (and these are only the ones I know for sure. I'm probably missing some):
His mom (Air Force)
His younger brother (Air Force)
His sister's husband, also childhood friend (Navy)
His uncle (Army, still active)
His cousin (Army but don't think he is active anymore...)
As you can see, we are full of military might!
And of course, my favorite veteran, My Beloved. He didn't even get to stay home today. And I would loooooove to post a pic of him from Boot Camp here. Expect that as soon as Hell freezes over...
So instead, a pic of my cousin The Sarge. Currently stationed in Germany, getting set to go back to Iraq. Everyone is thinking about ya and stay safe!

Nice! I love this and love seeing such a service-oriented family. My husband and I were Army while my Dad and my husband's uncle were Navy abd my brother-in-law is active Air Force.
I didn't write about veterans yesterday because I couldn't find the words. I am so worried about what this election's results mean for those overseas.
Tomorrow our school has a veteran's assembly. They ask us veterans to stand on stage while they do an hour long tribute of speeches, essays, and songs. I always cry like a baby on stage and I am sure tomorrow will be no different, but probably worse on the emotion.
I am just hoping it all works out for our soldiers. Really hoping with hands clenched and held breath...
